When I first met up with Jonh and Hilary we connected straight away, it was like we already knew each other.

So we started off at John and Hilary’s place for a first look. For those that don’t know, it’s when the bride and groom meet up for a first look at each other before the wedding ceremony. It helps ease the tension that comes with the build up to the ceremony, it eases the anticipation. Beautiful moment.

We then all headed to do the location shots around Fitzroy and Collingwood. Whilst shooting, Melbourne weather kicked in and down it came, the rain that is, out came the umbrellas. We got through it and thankfully it lasted about 10 minutes.

After the locations we headed to the The Abbotsford Convent to start the formalities, the Wedding, the ceremony. It was short and sweet.

And finally we ended up at the Town Hall Hotel in Fitzroy. A nice little pub, almost boutique style. I got to sample some of the canape’s before my coverage was over and those tasty little morsels went down a treat! Seasoned to perfection.

John and Hilary, thank you for inviting me along to shoot your wedding, you both have hearts of gold!
