There’s a very good chance that you wont be ticking off 7 locations for your wedding photo shoot in Melbourne. The bright side is, you have options! If you’ve got 1.5 hours to use, I’d consider two locations with an option for a third. Having said that, here’s ten options that you can choose from for your wedding day photo’s here in Melbourne.

Set in the heart of Melbourne’s City Parliament House is one of the most iconic and popular wedding photography locations in Melbourne. Parliament House is a perfect fit for the couples out there who appreciate a classic, timeless and historic backdrop for their Melbourne Wedding photos. Founded in 1853, Melbourne University is one of Australia’s oldest universities. Hundreds of newlyweds choose to have their Wedding photos taken at Melbourne University because of its unique architecture. Melbourne University can give classic and timeless wedding photography aesthetic which is loved my many couples in Melbourne. If you are thinking of having your Wedding photos taken at Melbourne University there are two important things to keep in mind.
1. The university is full of students during the week, so Melbourne University is best suited as a photo location to weekend weddings.

Treasury Gardens, around the corner from the Old Treasure Building is small yet stunning. With a combination of greenery and city architecture, Treasury Gardens makes for a one of a kind Melbourne Wedding Photography backdrop. Located on Spring St, this picturesque garden is in such close proximity to Parliament House, The Windsor Hotel, Melbourne CBD laneways and much more. This means you can have your wedding photos taken at multiple locations that are in walking distance that include Renaissance style buildings, greenery, city skylines, jaw dropping steps, terraces and everything you could possibly want for classic and clean wedding photos.

The options here are varied and wide. Like most locations, it’s a backdrop that you want to suit your tastes. In Melbourne, there’s everything from creeping ivy to graffiti. I’m not a big fan of graffiti but if it’s your thing, it’s on the list! Most options are not wet weather proof. There are some.
